I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. ~ John 14:18

Growing up without my father was the hardest hardship in my life.  I felt like a whole part of my life was missing.  I often wondered what life would be like if my father hadn’t died, or if life could have been different, if it would be better or worst.  My whole life I’ve searched for that missing piece of the puzzle, that gap, that need, and the yearning for a father’s love, protection, praise, guidance and encouragement.

I’ve searched this earthly world, far and near, long and hard and have not found anyone to love, protect, praise, guide and encourage me like my father would until I found God.  God’s love, protection, praise, guidance and encouragement for me is greater than what any earthly father could have for me because I know my Heavenly Father’s love, protection, praise, guide and encouragement for me is eternal!

When I found and accepted God in my life I understood the path already prepared for me, the purposes God had for me and my destiny to get back to God was already set by Him.  I may not be able to take this path if my father had been alive because my father was a humble man with a big loving heart and was an orphan himself who would have followed and listened to his elders who were very traditional.

I was amazed to know that He had chosen me before I was even born, (Jeremiah 1:5) and that in order for me to not be lost in this world, He marked me so that I know I was His.  In Colossians 1:17 the Bible says “He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”  Do you know what that means?  Do you know what holds us together?

LAMININ!!!! Simply put it, it is the glue that holds our tissues and organs together so we can be alive!! That means that God loves us so much because He created us and we are His and that no matter what we chose to do, He will forgive us and make a way for us to get back to Him!  God is not only promising this in the Bible but He is marking every one of us with a symbol, a symbol so deep, a symbol that keeps us alive!  That symbol is the Laminin in all of us!

The incredible thing about Laminin is that it is not in the shape of a cell or molecule but in the shape of a CROSS!!! I cried, and still do when I think of how special we are to God and how much He loves us!

I am grateful and thankful for my mother who decided to bring us to the United States by herself when no relatives would take us in after my father was robbed and murdered in Laos.  My mom was brave and strong in raising all 4 of us siblings and kept us together.  She decided to take us to church since we did not have a father or father figure to lead the family in all the cultural traditions.

My true walk with God started in 1986 with Rev. Chervang K. Vang.  It was the God and Holy Spirit that Rev. Chervang preached about in his crusade in Fresno, California. It was Rev. Chervang’s love for his people and the love he’d shown to orphans that touched my heart!  My little family at the time, consisted of my husband and our first son became members of United Christians Liberty Evangelical Church in 1987.  Through God and the faith and beliefs of Rev. CherVang K. Vang, I’ve found the fatherly love I had searched all my life for!

I’ve been a member over 30 years and serving God alongside my husband for over 25 years at our Eastern United Christians Liberty Evangelical Church in Connelly Springs, North Carolina as Women Ministry Department President/Secretary/Treasurer; Youth President/Vice President; worship/service song leader-I’ve even played the drum and the keyboard for our Music Department in my younger years; Women of Jesus Love Overseas President/Secretary/Treasurer; Sabbath School Director; and now as senior pastor’s wife.  My husband is Rev. Solomon Cherzonh Moua and he too has held every church position possible before becoming a pastor in 2007.

Being a Christian, a pastor’s wife, a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a counselor, an aunt, a friend and serving God is not easy.  This journey has been very challenging, I have many hats to wear and many roles to play but nothing can compare to the reward I am bless with!  I am blessed, honored and privileged to be able to serve an Almighty God!  I am blessed, grateful and thankful to have all the people in my life (good and bad)!  Each one brings a lesson of strength, wisdom, grace, hope, courage and love.  I am especially grateful and thankful for my mother who made the decision to step away from the people that could’ve abused, neglected, abandoned and ridiculed me and showed me a path to eternal life and love.  I am most thankful to Rev. Chervang K. Vang for sharing the eternal love he found in God to me and the Hmong people!
